Last week as part of the GGKP's Third Annual Conference on the theme of Fiscal Policies and the Green Economy Transition: Generating Knowledge – Creating Impact, two awards were presented for the Best Young Researcher Paper and Best Overall Paper.
The first award for the Best Young Researcher Paper went to Prudence Dato (University of Savoie) for his paper Energy transition under irreversibility: a two-sector approach, and the award for Best Overall Paper went to Max Franks (Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research), Ottmar Edenhofer (MCC) and Kai Lessmann (Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research) for their paper Why finance ministers favor carbon taxes, even if they do not take climate change into account.
Presented by Carlo Carraro (Universitá Ca' Foscari Venezia) and Eshita Gupta (Teri University), the winners received a certificate, cash award, whilst their papers will be published in a reputed journal.

The GGKP received more than 200 submissions in response to its call for research abstracts; the top 25 per cent were selected for discussion at the conference. Of the abstracts selected for discussion, 22 papers were submitted to the contest from which the Best Young Researcher Paper and Best Overall Paper were chosen. During the conference over 50 research papers were discussed, with participation from over 120 speakers.
