Applications are due September 30 for a Systems Innovation Lab aimed at shaping Europe's energy future. Held by the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy and the Centre for Social Investment of Heidelberg University, this innovative 12 week lab program is targeted at young to mid-career level Europeans working in all realms of the energy sector including government, corporate or civil society. The Lab consists of a kick-off seminar in Berlin (6 days) with experts on energy systems and system innovation; a 10-week exploration phase in which participants test their prototypes in the context of their professional environment; and a reflection seminar in another European capital (5 days) for the presentation of results and the joint formulation of lessons learned.

- An essay (max. 500 words) on your vision of a sustainable energy future answering the following questions: What are the problems and potential solutions? What are the main challenges? What is necessary to overcome them?
