Organisation: Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET)
Clsoing Date: 5 April 2020
GWNET 2020 is calling for applications for mentees in its mentoring programme for women in the energy sector. The application deadline is 5 April 2020. Click here to apply.
Gender diversity drives innovation, opens new pathways for technology deployment, brings valuable perspectives to social and economic development, and provides a richer pool of talent for key and emerging industries. However, as seen in GWNET’s 2020 report “Women for Sustainable Energy: Strategies to Foster Women’s Talent for Transformational Change,” the sustainable energy sector remains gender unequal.
In order to advance the role of women as agents of change in society and promote best practices within the sector, GWNET is launching the third round of its global mentoring programme for women working in the energy sector.
Purpose:
The programme is designed to accelerate the careers of women in junior/middle management positions in energy, support their pathway to leadership positions, and foster a global network of mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and empowerment.
Furthermore, the mentoring programme is designed around the following key programme parameters:
- 12-month programme duration
- Comprehensive knowledge-transfer components through a series of webinars
- Networking and peer-to-peer exchange
Qualifications:
Application criteria:
- Must be a woman working in the energy sector
- Must work in a junior/middle management position (between 2 and 10 years of working experience)
The fees for participation in the programme are EUR 500.
