The International Panel on Behavior Change (IPBC) brings together experts from 30 different behavioural disciplines to engage in the scientific mission of integrating all knowledge to better understand drivers of human behavioural change and non-change, with the aim to facilitate its eco-social mission and to disseminate key messages on the evolution of human behavior in favor of a more sustainable and equitable future.

To fulfill its mission, the organization aims to publish its first report to focus on the main and emerging drivers of behavioural change and non-change in ecological transition issues. As such, the IPBC is calling for contributions from experts from different disciplines for the various chapters of the upcoming publication.

The report will be divided into three different volumes, each focusing on another layer of drivers for behavioural change and non-change.

  • Volume 1 focuses on monodisciplinary chapters where disciplines outline their stance on drivers of behavioral change and non-change (DBCNC). The deadline for chapter proposals is 13 February 2023.
  • Volume 2 takes on a transdisciplinary approach to the literature review, focusing on systemic points of view. A call for submissions will be sent in late 2023.
  • Volume 3 will then reflect on the transdisciplinary findings and lessons learned in order to build a scientific roadmap for near-term behavioural sciences development. Calls for submission for this volume will commence in late 2024.

Find out more about the respective chapters and the report's objectives in the report call for publication or through the IPBC's website
