Environmental and sustainability experts, practitioners and enthusiasts are invited to submit short contributions—articles, opinions, editorials and blogs—that can inform the discussion and build the momentum towards the international meeting Stockholm+50: A healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity. The blogs will be published on the Stockholm+50 Community Group on the Green Forum.
Five decades after the 1972 United Nations Conference on the Human Environment, Stockholm+50 will act as a springboard accelerate the implementation of the UN Decade of Action and set a path to overcome the triple planetary crisis of climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution and waste. The call for blogs aims to support the broader aim of Stockholm+50 processes to stimulate inclusive whole-of-society dialogues on the main themes of the meeting and help inform and shape the discussions at the meeting.
Blogs are suggested to centre on:
Stockholm+50 principles of engagement
- Intergenerational responsibility
- Interconnectivity
- Implementing opportunity
Stockholm+50 Opportunities
- Support a universal recognition of the human right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment
- Explore rights of nature
- Mainstream alternative knowledge systems
- Enhance youth, women, Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLC) engagement in decision making around sustainability transitions
Stockholm+50 expectations
- Rebuild relationships of trust
- Accelerate system wide actions for a sustainable and inclusive recovery

Contributions should be made to Stephani Widorini ([email protected]), Clara Mottura ([email protected]) or through this form. Additional details and guidelines for submissions are available at ggkp.org/splus50blog.
