Course announcement: Leading for sustainability

Lead, the world's largest non-profit organisation dedicated to building leadership capacity for sustainable development, is accepting applications for their Leading for Sustainability programme. The program is designed for experienced, middle to senior professionals and sustainability practitioners across sectors who want to increase their ability to make positive change in the world around them.

The programme will allow participants to challenge their perceptions and stretch their leadership capability while helping them to refine their vision of change for them and their organisation. Over the course of 5-months, the program exposes participants to live sustainability challenges with real cases and people, deepening their understanding of the complexities of sustainability today. Two of the modules are run virtually. The other two modules are run as a 5-day residencies, each in a different location in Europe (the second residential usually takes place in the UK). This year, the first residential module will address the theme of Urban to Rural – Creating sustainable livelihoods in rural Portugal as response to a country facing economic turmoil.

The Leading for sustainability programme will run from 1 September 2014 – 15 February 2015. The deadline for applications is 21 July 2014. For more information, click here
