Today the GGKP hosted a workshop for its Knowledge Partners. This workshop represented the third in-person workshop of Knowledge Partners convened by the GGKP.
As with the last workshop, the discussions focused on maximizing the impact of the GGKP partnership by building on the breadth and depth of experience represented within the partner institutions. In particular, the day examined the challenges and opportunities for green growth to support the Paris Climate Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The session began with a keynote presentation from Paul Ekins, Director and Professor of Resources and Environmental Policy, at the UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources, University College London. The rest of the day focused on areas ripe for collaboration around green growth, the SDGs, and climate change, including a specific look into challenges and opportunities around research and data generation as well as knowledge management and sharing.
The Knowledge Partner network was held the day before that start of GGKP's Fourth Annual Conference, which is taking place during the Global Green Growth Week 2016 in Jeju Island, Republic of Korea.
