Building on its policy, industry and finance platforms, the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) rolled out at the end of 2020 a beta version of the Green Forum – an online interactive community space for professionals to share and discuss insights on a range of themes and issues in the pursuit of a sustainable economic transformation.
With the support of the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE), German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) of Switzerland this community space will help experts and institutions collaborate and promote inclusive green economy policies, practices and actions at the local, national, regional and global levels.
“With individuals from around the world sharing knowledge and working together, the Green Forum will provide policy, industry and finance actors with the ability to seamlessly interact as peers and address common challenges, pursue joint opportunities, build expertise and advance the sustainable economy transition,” said Benjamin Simmons, the Head of GGKP Secretariat.
The Green Forum includes active community discussions on key green growth topics and will provide GGKP partner organizations with the ability to create and manage their own public or private groups to support collaboration on projects and initiatives. Functionalities being built into the forum to encourage collaboration among peers include the ability for users to share files, videos and images through comment streams as well as direct messages.
The Green Forum is currently in the beta testing period and will continue undergoing refinement and improvement on functionalities to optimize users’ experience and community interaction. This will give an opportunity for users to test the site and share their feedback to fine-tune its performance prior to the public launch in early 2021.
