Do you know of a great solution to advance sustainable consumption and sustainable ways of living? Are you involved in a sustainable lifestyles project or initiative?  The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and One Earth invite you to share examples of sustainable ways of living for a global project that examines how the way we live our daily lives – our choices, habits and the context within which we live – have can have a positive effect on our planet, our communities and our wellbeing both now and in the future.

From 5 March to 27 April 2018, IGES and One Earth asked for help in learning more about the ongoing efforts toward sustainable lifestyles across the globe.  The initial round of the survey is now closed and three submissions were selected to join us in New York in July 2018 to present their solution at a United Nations event or another international gathering later this year.  Details of the submissions will be shared in due course.

However, due to the strong interest shown and having received repeated requests, the window has been extended until 15 June 2018 for the opportunity to receive a small grant of up to US$2,000 to hold activities in support of sustainable lifestyles.

The questionnaire is available either via Survey Monkey or interactive PDF in the following languages: Chinese (Survey Monkey link, 下载中文版PDF形式的调查问卷), English (Survey Monkey linkPDF), French (Survey Monkey linkPDF), Indonesian (Survey Monkey linkPDF), Japanese (Survey Monkey link,PDF),Portuguese (Survey Monkey linkPDF) and Spanish (Survey Monkey linkPDF).  If completing by PDF, please email the form to gilby [at] iges.or.jp.

This project, Envisioning Future Low-Carbon Lifestyles and Transitioning Instruments, is a part of the Sustainable Lifestyles and Education Programme of the 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns.
