Ca' Foscari University of Venice has announded the open call for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships (IF) which provide researchers from all over the world with the opportunity to acquire and transfer new knowledge and to work on research in a European context or outside Europe.
With the aim of promoting excellence in research and fostering the exchange of knowledge, the University of Venice encourages all researchers from abroad to apply for a grant and to choose Ca' Foscari University as Host Institution. Interested researchers can learn more about the University of Venice's research themes and research environment.
The University of Venice's International Research Office will support international researchers in drafting the project proposal. In order to provide the most effective support, we kindly ask perspective applicants to fill our Expression of Interest.
Types of Grants
- European Fellowships: They are held in EU Member States or Associated Countries and are open to researchers either coming to Europe or moving within Europe for a period of 12 to 24 months. This action aims to support the career development of researchers for enhancing their individual competence diversification in terms of skills at multidisciplinary level and intersectoral experience.
- Global Fellowships: This action enhances the international dimension of European researchers' career by financing research project to be carried out in two different countries. This action is based on a secondment to a third country (from 12 to 24 months) and a mandatory 12 month return period to a European host institution.
Eligible Researchers
Researchers shall, at the time of the deadline for submission of proposals, be in possession of a doctoral degree or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience (measured from the date when he/she obtained the degree formally entitling him or her to embark on a doctorate).
Furthermore, at the time of the deadline for submission, researchers shall not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc) in the country of their host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference date.
Financial Support
The European financial contribution for a Marie Curie Fellowship is a flat-rate for the entire period of the project. It provides the following entries yearly allocated:
