Webinars on the Draft Assessment Results of the Green Growth Best Practice Initiative

The Green Growth Best Practices initiative will host a series of webinars the week of October 7th to discuss their Draft Assessment Results.  The Green Growth Best Practice (GGBP) initiative is a project that is engaging 75 authors around the world in evaluating effective practices with green growth planning, analysis, and implementation.  GGBP is preparing a synthesis report to present the results of this assessment and developing other products and activities to foster broad awareness and use of the analysis findings.  You can find more information about the initiative at www.ggbp.org

Through a series of three webinars, author teams will present and discuss with the results of the GGBP assessment. Each webinar will focus on a different theme:

  • Webinar 1 ‘Planning and Coordination’ on Monday 7 Oct 13 at 14:00 BST: The webinar will focus on topics most relevant for planners and facilitators who lead the governmental green growth processes. It will cover the following draft chapters: (a) Process Design and Coordination; (b) Monitoring and Evaluation; and (c) National and Sub-National Integration.
  • Webinar 2 ‘Policies and Programmes’ on Thursday 10 Oct 13 at 16:00 BST: The webinar will focus on topics relevant for policy makers and program managers who design green growth policies and measures, secure financing and establish public-private partnerships. It will cover the following draft chapters (a) Policy Design and Implementation; (b) Public and Private Cooperation; and (c) Financing Strategies.
  • Webinar 3 ‘Analysis and Communication’ on Friday 11 Oct 13 at 9:00 BST: The webinar will focus on topics relevant for analysts who conduct and manage analysis to inform green growth plans and programs. It will cover the following draft chapters: (a) Benefits Assessment and Communication; (b) Development of High-Level Vision, Targets and Baselines; and (c) Prioritization and Analysis of Options and Pathways.

The goal of the webinars is to discuss early results and to receive feedback to ensure that the assessment and the findings will be of high value in assisting practitioners with Green Growth planning and implementation.
