The European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) is an international scientific association that aims to contribute to the development and application of environmental and resource economics as a science in Europe; to encourage and enhance communication and collaboration between teachers, researchers, and students in the field of environmental and resource economics across all European countries; and to develop and facilitate cooperation between European research and university level teaching institutions.
To these ends, the Association organizes annual conferences, co-organizes winter and summer schools, supports events and seminars, participates in editing professional journals, awards prizes to noteworthy environmental and resource economists, promotes members’ research and publications, and hosts a European job market for environmental and resource economists.
Founded in 1990, EAERE has over 1200 members in 60 countries, from Europe and beyond, ranging from academic institutions, to the public sector, to private industry. Individuals members are, by their profession, training, or function, involved in environmental and resource economics as a science. Institutional members operate in fields connected with the aims of the Association.
