Human Asia

Human Asia is a Korean NGO that was established in 2006. Its mission is to pursue the integration of human rights and sustainable development through promotion of Human Rights-Based Approaches (HRBA) and to support the provision of humanitarian assistance in natural disaster areas in line with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030. The organization has experience in humanitarian assistance delivery in Nepal, poverty alleviation in the Philippines, WASH in India and analysis of innovative livelihood activities that promote sustainable self-reliance and which can be integrated in private companies’ business models.

Human Asia supports the "Green Rehabilitation Investment Project for Karakalpakstan Republic to Address Impacts of the Aral Sea Crisis (2021-2024)" by providing a monitoring framework that lays the foundation for ensuring human rights-friendly humanitarian development and promotion of green entrepreneurial growth. Specifically, this will include contributions across several project outcomes, namely in elaborating disaster risk vulnerability profiles of project beneficiaries in the target project districts, in developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks that demonstrates the impacts of humanitarian disaster-risk reduction capacity building on beneficiary women and men, validates the impacts of green business platform value chain interventions on the vulnerability of participating stakeholders, and assesses the scope for scaling these interventions to the broader beneficiary population.
