International Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering (2iE) is an international institute for education and research with themes covering water, environment, energy, civil engineering, mining and managerial sciences. 2iE is committed to supporting all of these areas through the training in Africa of highly-qualified and innovative entrepreneurial engineers that the continent needs.
2iE’s ambition is to increase the regional and international influence of scientific and technological teaching and research in Africa. The Institute develops courses and research programs oriented towards green growth in partnership with world-class universities and scientific centres. Research carried out at 2iE targets strategic sectors for the social and economic development of Africa including water and waste treatment, renewable energies, mining and production of eco-materials.
