Aaron Cosbey is Senior Associate at the International Institute for Sustainable Development, where he has worked on trade and investment law and policy since 1991. He has also served as special advisor to UNCTAD on green economy, and has consulted to a wide range of governments, inter-governmental organizations, development banks and UN agencies. He has served on a number of advisory bodies on trade policy, mostly to the Canadian government. He holds a Master’s degree in development economics from Dalhousie University. He has published widely in research areas including trade law and investment law as they relate to sustainable development, investment policy, trade policy, green industrial policy, and climate change law and policy.
