Aaron Russell is GGGI’s Country Representative to Uzbekistan. Aaron holds a Ph.D. in the Human Dimensions of Fisheries and Wildlife Management (Michigan State University), and B.Sc. degrees in Forestry and Wildlife Science and Biology (Virginia Tech). His areas of expertise are in natural resource governance tenure regimes, rural livelihoods, climate change adaptation and wildlife ecology. He has 20 years of experience in research, managing and evaluating projects throughout Africa, SE Asia and other countries, with longer periods working for CIFOR, the World Fish Center, and as an EU ROM consultant.
