
Aicha Ben Youssef is a motivated development professional with experience working in the energy access, renewable energy, and climate change sectors. Aicha completed a Master of Science in Economic Development and Programmes Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Economic Sciences and Management from Hassan II University, Morocco. Aicha also holds a Leadership and Communications certificate from the University of Delaware, USA.
Aicha has gained professional experience in sustainable development working with organizations such as the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the UK Embassy in Morocco, and the Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE). At IRENA, Aicha provided support for the implementation, coordination, and management of energy access initiatives in remote communities, healthcare facilities, and agri-food value chains in Africa, Asia and SIDS countries.
Aicha is passionate about serving the under-deserved and underdeveloped communities by creating sustainable and inclusive economic growth and has a strong commitment to making a positive impact in her professional and personal life.
