Ambiyah Abdullah

Ambiyah Abdullah obtained her PhD degree in development economics from Nagoya University, Japan. She started her career in June 2012 as a researcher at Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), Japan. Her dissertation was an economic and environmental analysis of palm oil expansion and the REDD project in Indonesia using an environmentally-extended inter-regional social accounting matrix analysis. She specialized in environmental economics and macroeconomic modelling. Her current research interests are the assessment of the impact of Japanese forested products consumption on deforestation in Indonesia and the assessment of social economic and environmental impacts of low carbon investment on green sectors in Indonesia.
