Antonio Mediavilla

Antonio Mediavilla works at the Centro Mario Molina (Mario Molina Center), as Senior Project Manager on Air Pollution, Climate Change, and Energy issues. Before this, Antonio worked at several senior public service positions for more than 20 years in areas such as Energy Efficiency, Low Emissions Development, and Air Quality Management. Specifically, he was the Director General of Air Quality Management for the Mexico City Ministry of Environment. Previously he was the Low Emission Development Director for the Mexico Low Emissions Development Program (MLED), financed by USAID. Before that, he worked for the National Institute of Ecology (INE) as Director of Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS), and for the Mexican Petroleum Institute (IMP) as a project leader and Technical Advisor to the Research and Development Director.

Antonio is a Chemical Engineer from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), has a Master’s Degree in Industrial Administration also from UNAM, a Master’s Degree in Environmental Technology from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, and a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Integrated Assessment applied to Air Quality Management and Energy Systems, also from Imperial College, London. He has presented his work in several international congresses’ and fora and has published papers and book chapters edited internationally.
