Dr. Benjamin Warr is the UNEP FI Private Sector Lead in the Financing Agrochemical Reduction and Management (FARM) Programme. He is a distinguished sustainability analyst, strategist, and academic, recognized for his expertise in ecological economics, environmental (soil) science and geospatial analysis. Dr. Warr is most notably a primary developer of the Exergy-Economics approach, a body of work that integrates thermodynamics with economic growth theory, to elucidate the important role of technology, energy and materials use in developing sustainability across industrial, socio-economic and environmental systems. He is co-author of the seminal book The Economic Growth Engine with the late Robert U. Ayres. He lives and works in Zambia.
