Prof. Dr. Bernd Wagner is a Scientific Director at the Environmental Science Centre, University of Augsburg (WZU) and Chairman of the German Association for Sustainable Finance (VfU). He headed the Management Training Centre at the University of Augsburg (ZWW) until 2007. He has also worked as a professor at the University of Sierra Leone from 1982 to 1984 and in Beijing, China, on behalf of the EU in 1986. He contributed to the World Bank and IFC, gaining extensive experience in environmental consulting and training, particularly material efficiency and material flow cost accounting. Dr. Wagner served as a member of the UNEP Expert Working Group on Environmental Management Accounting and the UNEP FI Observer Group on Environmental Performance Indicators for the International Finance Sector. Dr Wagner has a major in Business Administration and Organizational Psychology from Munich. His main areas of expertise include finance and sustainability, corporate sustainability management, environmental and material flow cost accounting, investors relations and benchmarking, and organisational culture.
