Chandelle O'Neil is the National Director of the International Student Environmental Coalition and an active member of both the SDG 7 Youth Constituency and the Stockholm+50 Youth Task Force. They are currently enrolled in the UN Mandated University for Peace's Global Leadership post-graduate diploma in Regenerative Leadership, where they are developing their leadership, design thinking, and social change skills.
Chandelle is a sustainable energy systems design specialist and human rights advocate in Trinidad and Tobago. They volunteer with the Fondes Amandes Reforestation project, lead by women, in their community planting trees, maintaining fire trails, and doing river clean-ups. Chandelle also has their own enterprise, Mawu Energy, that supports energy efficiency, sustainable design, and resource management in residential and commercial buildings and properties.
Chandelle was a Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) Young Caribbean Water Entrepreneurs Shark Tank Competition Finalist in December 2020 and received bronze with UNLEASH Hacks Caribbean in June 2021. Their undergraduate degree is in mechanical engineering.
