Claire Arkin

Claire Arkin is the Communications Coordinator at GAIA (Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives), a worldwide alliance of more than 800 grassroots groups, non-governmental organisations, and individuals in more than 90 countries whose ultimate vision is a just, toxic-free world without incineration. Her work has been featured in such outlets as The Guardian, Resource-Recycling, and the San Francisco Chronicle. She recently coordinated a global investigative project called “Discarded”, which documented impacts of the global plastic waste trade on communities in Southeast Asia.
