Dimitris Diakosavvas is a Senior Economist in the Environment Division of the OECD Trade and Agriculture Directorate, where he has worked since 1989. His main areas of expertise are in agricultural, trade and environmental policy and the measurement and evaluation of agricultural policies.
Dimitris is currently in charge of the OECD work on Green Growth and Agriculture and he is the author of two reports: Green Growth Indicators for Agriculture – A Preliminary Assessment and Policy Instruments to Support Green Growth in Agriculture: A Synthesis of Country Experiences. He is also the main author of a number of OECD publications on the evaluation of agricultural policies, including Evaluation of Agricultural Policy Reforms in the United States, Evaluation of Agricultural Policy Reforms in Turkey, Evaluation of the Uruguay Round Agreement on Agriculture, Agriculture, Trade and Environment: The Arable Crop Sector and the Methods to Monitor and Evaluate the Impacts of Agricultural Policies on Rural Development. He also contributes to the OECD Agricultural Policy Monitoring and Evaluation annual reports.
Dimitris holds a Bachelor in economics from the University of Athens, a Postgraduate Diploma in economic development, a Masters degree in economics and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Manchester, England.
