Dr Valentin Foltescu

Dr Valentin Foltescu is Senior Science and Programme Management Officer in UN Environment and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition’s Secretariat. He has been active in the field of atmospheric environment since the 1990s, carrying out monitoring, modelling (from global to local scales), integrated and impact assessments, air and climate policy development and implementation. He joined UN Environment in 2015. Prior to that he worked in European Union Institutions (European Environment Agency and European Commission–Joint Research Centre) and Swedish governmental institutions and universities. Valentin holds a doctorate in Environmental Science from Goteborg University and is a Chalmers University of Technology Associate Professor.
