Francesca Eustacchi is a Research Fellow at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), working with the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) and the Economic and Trade Policy Unit, based at UNEP Headquarters in Nairobi. She is also a PhD Candidate in Economics at University College Dublin. Francesca has worked as an economist and policy analyst with several international organizations, including the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), and the Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE) in Poland. She has also collaborated with academic institutions as a teaching assistant and visiting researcher, including University College Dublin (Ireland), Beijing University of Technology (China), and Universidad de los Andes (Colombia). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from LUISS Guido Carli University (Italy) and a double Master’s degree in International Business and Management from Fudan University (China) and LUISS Guido Carli University (Italy). Her research interests focus on environmental economics, gender and development, and women’s empowerment. At UNEP, she is currently involved in projects on green economy modelling, circularity, the Net-Zero Nature-Positive (NZNP) initiative, and finance for climate action.
