
Gustavo Olveyra
Consultant on Green Development and Adaptation to Climate Change, NAP Cities Project
Gustavo Olveyra worked as a consultant to the Uruguayan Ministry of Tourism from 2009 to 2018. He was responsible for the socio-environmental management of sustainable tourism projects carried out by with financing from the Inter-American Development Bank, which included the organization of the Painted Birds Tourist Corridor on the Uruguay River. Since 2018, he supports the development of a national adaptation plan for cities and infrastructure in Uruguay as a consultant for green development and climate change adaptation at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). He is an architect by training and holds a Master's degree in Integrated Coastal Management from the University of the Republic in Uruguay.
