Dr. Han Chuan Feng is professor of Department of Public Administration, School of Economics and Management, Tongji University, China. He currently also serves as the vice president of School of Economics and Management, director of Institute of Urban Infrastructure Development and Management, and director of Institute of Urban Construction and Emergency Management, Tongji University. His research interests mainly focus on assessment and protection of critical infrastructure system, including the impact of large-scale infrastructure projects on regional economy, social culture and ecological environment; protection of key infrastructures; development and management of urban disaster prevention infrastructures.
He was the Principal Investigator (PI) of many projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), National Development and Research Center of the State Council, Shanghai Municipal Decision Advisory Committee, as well as the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, such as Top-Down Design and Pattern Refactoring of China’s Emergency Management System, Modelling of Interdependency of Critical Infrastructure System and Vulnerability Control, Continuous Effectiveness and Efficiency of Regional Infrastructure System and the Active Control, and so on. He has published more than 100 papers in important journals at home and abroad. Han has a doctorate and an MSc in structural engineering.
