Jan Siegmeier

Jan Siegmeier is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC) in Berlin. His main research interest are interactions between environmental policy and public finance. Currently, he focuses on the role of land taxation, infrastructure spending and transport policies for climate change mitigation and distribution.
He holds an MSc and PhD in economics from the Technical University of Berlin and a Diploma in Physics from the Technical University of Munich, and also worked as a business consultant for several years.
