Professor Jisoon Lee a Korean, is currently teaching at the Seoul National University (SNU) as an Emeritus. Before coming to SNU, Professor Lee taught at Brown University. In 2014 he was elected as a Lifetime Member of the Republic of Korea's National Academy of Sciences. Professor Lee’s research interests are in economic growth and environment. Professor Lee is the author of several academic works, including the book Green Growth: Korean Initiatives for Green Civilization; two journal articles written in English, “Examining a Green Growth Model for Policy Implications” and “From a Disaster to a Miracle: Suggestions for North Korea”; and four journal articles written in Korean, “Green Growth: A New Paradigm for Korea,” ” Sustainable & Inclusive Green Growth for All,” “Sustainably Green Korea through Climate Change Mitigation/Adaptation,” and “In Search for Fundamentals for Prosperity.” Professor Lee is the Chairman of the Committee on Green Growth, Republic of Korea, on which he has served as a member since 2011.
