Johanna Brühl is a senior consultant at Anchor Environmental Consultants in Cape Town. She holds a master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Cape Town’s School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in International Business from the Copenhagen Business School. Over the past few years, Johanna’s work has focused on quantitative and qualitative socio-economic analyses and evaluations of natural resource management and conservation strategies. She is particularly interested in environmental policy and economics, the assessment and valuation of ecosystem services, and the design of strategies to increase biodiversity conservation. Johanna’s previous work at the Environmental Policy Research Unit (EPRU), part of the Environment for Development (EfD), focused on water economics and water policy in developing country contexts.
