Jonas Sonnenschein

Jonas Sonnenschein obtained his Ph.D. at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University, Sweden. His research focused on the effectiveness of policies for de-carbonizing the economy. This work is embedded in the IIIEE research project “Policy Intervention for a Competitive Green Energy Economy”, which is financed by the Swedish Energy Agency. Jonas’ previous work includes studies about green jobs, resource efficiency, environmentally harmful subsidies and green budget reform in countries in fiscal crisis. Before returning to academia in 2014, Jonas ran his own environmental organization and worked as a consultant for NGOs and government for several years. He is now working at Umanotera, a Slovenian non-governmental organisation.
