
Juan Jose Robalino serves as Sr. Associate Analyst at the Global Green Growth Institute, specialized in agri-food value chains, as well as international markets with more than 5 years of professional experience. At GGGI, he is leading value chain analyses for supporting interventions towards sustainable landscapes. These assessments identify opportunities for sustainable product development across agriculture and forestry sectors, which supports the implementation of green interventions that consider natural, social, human, and economic capital improvements. As part of these assessments, Juan Jose has developed recommendations for enabling policy, regulations, market development, and financial mechanisms for resource mobilization. In addition, Juan Jose has led the development of the 3Returns Framework to support various teams across the organization for assessing sustainable landscapes.
Prior to GGGI, Juan Jose worked in the private and public sector, assessing international markets and product development for commodities from developing countries. During that time, he drafted and presented reports about international markets, developed value added products, and was responsible for international representation and negotiations for different food producing companies. With an Economic and Finance MBA degree, his interest is to keep working for a green development with an emphasis on sustainable landscapes.
