Lena Hök is the Senior Vice President Sustainability at Skanska Group. Skanska is regarded as a leader within sustainability with the ambition to integrate sustainability into the business model. Almost half of its revenue comes from green projects and 93% of Skanska’s own developed projects are green. Skanska is as well one of the pioneers within Green Bonds and has the aim to be financed 100% by green finance. During 2018 Skanska presented to the Swedish Government a Roadmap of how the Construction and Development industry can become fossile free by 2045. The work was done in collaboration with the whole industry and its value chain with almost hundred organizations signing the Roadmap.
Lena has over 20 years of experience implementing and evaluate sustainability performance in corporations, working with a broad range of industries – including finance, energy, retail, insurance, real estate, hotels and food. She is recognized at the sustainability arena and invited as a speaker at high level international events, such as speaker at the SDG Business Forum 2018 at the UN HQ in NY. During her time at Skanska, a major pension and Insurance firm in the Nordics, the work with sustainability and shared value was recognized by Fortune Magazine. Fortune listed Skandia as no 20 at their ""Companies that change the World""-list 2016. Lena is a member of the Board of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), and Chair of the Swedish Committee for Corporate Responsibility and Anti-Corruption at the International Chamber of Commerce. Lena has a Degree of Master of Science in Business and Economics from Uppsala University, as well as executive programs at IMD Business School and Stockholm School of Economics.
