Gender Coordinator ad interim, Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women Office

Ms. Müge Dolun is the UNIDO Gender Coordinator ad interim, and represents UNIDO as the organizational Gender Focal Point. The Office of the Gender Coordinator also acts as the institutional coordination point for the implementation of UNIDO’s Policy and Strategy for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, and is located in the Office of the Managing Director in the Directorate of Corporate Management and Operations.
For the past 16 years, Müge worked for UNIDO, most recently as an Independent Evaluation Officer, as well as with UNIDO's Programme Development and Technical Cooperation Directorate, where she managed projects related to standards and trade capacity building, covering Eastern and Southern Africa. She also worked as part of the team of authors of UNIDO's flagship publication, the Industrial Development Report, having experience with various development and trade-related think tanks such as the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) and the International Center for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD). She holds a Master in Public Administration/International Development from Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in Environmental Studies.
