Mai Thin Yu Mon is a dedicated Indigenous People's rights activist based in Myanmar. For the past decade, she has been working at the grassroots level with a focus on indigenous youths and women. A former Management team member of Myanmar Indigenous Peoples Network and a former member of the Executive Council of the Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact, she played a vital role in building Indigenous youth and Indigenous women platform of Asia region. Due to her work on climate actions and food security promotion work in indigenous communities, she was nominated a food security champion for the UN Food Systems Summit 2021. Mai Thin Yu Mon's tireless efforts underscore her commitment to advancing Indigenous Peoples' rights on a global scale. Currently, she is pursuing her Masters degree on "Human Development and Food Security" while serving her second term as a Co-Chair of the Global Indigenous Youth Caucus.
