Marisol Rivera Planter is a deputy director of sectoral and regional models in Instituto Nacional de Ecologia y Cambio Climatico (INECC), Mexico. She holds bachelor degree in Economics Instituto Tecnologicao Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM), studied corporate finance in ITAM and project evaluations in UNAM. In 1998, she worked in coordinating unit of economic and social analysis in secretary of environmental natural resources and fishing. In 2000, she worked in the consultancy Especialistas Ambientales as a junior consultant in economics and environmental politics in 2000, implementing projects of environmental indicators for the local government of Guanajuato.
She also collaborated with World Bank in project for themetropolitan zone of valley of Mexico and participated in the project for Commission of Environmental cooperation of North America, analyzing the principle sources of finance for theconservation of Mexico.
