Mauricio Mira Ponton is a Business Manager at Veritas, Itam University of Costa Rica , as well as an equities market technician in the Administration Institute of Economic Research of the University of Costa Rica, and a Specialist in Negotiation and International Relations at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá Colombia. He holds a Masters in Leadership strategy for Sustainability Blekinge from the Institute of Technology - Sweden (BTH).
With 20 years of experience, Mauricio has worked as a consultant and analyst of financial markets, a program consultant United Nations Conference on Trade and Development for over 15 years in business facilitation and investment, an International Business Consultant with recognized international firms such as London Consulting Group, LED mitigation projects for compensation under the CDM mechanism and volunteers Anaconda Carbon emissions firm specializing in that area in Netherlands. He designed the platform negotiations for voluntary emissions Mercantile Exchange Colombia for the Inter-American Development Bank with Natura Foundation and he has also been coordinator of the Identification Strategy of Renewables for Non-interconnected Areas of Colombia and project coordinator for the identification and assessment of non-conventional resource-renewables FNCE-R with the Mining and Energy Planning Unit of Colombia.
Recently Mauricio served as a consultant for Plan Nariño on clean energy and sustainability for the region and as a specialist in climate change BIOREDD+. He managed several companies, working on service oriented to business sustainability and other specific renewable energy projects implemented under standard VERS certified products; e.g. biogas, wind, solar, eco-efficiencies and Projects like BIOREDD+. Furthermore , he served as the exhibitor at the II International Congress on Sustainable Development in Manizales - Colombia and in in Congress "Make Markets Work for Climate" in Amsterdam - Netherlands, among others.
