Megha Sud is a policy researcher at the Environment Division of the OECD where she works with the biodiversity team. Her work at the OECD focusses on biodiversity and development (in particular, plans, strategies and policy instruments to mainstream biodiversity at the national and sector levels in a range of countries) and policies to address impacts of agriculture on biodiversity.
Formerly, she was a Programme Officer, Business and Industry at WWF India where she managed the national chapter of WWF's international programme ‘Climate Savers’. The programme recruits and supports multinational companies in setting and achieving publicised carbon saving targets. She also managed WWF India’s consulting project on carbon and waste footprint mapping for private sector companies.
Megha has a PhD from the University of Cologne, Germany. Her doctoral thesis analysed the political ecology of urban forest conservation in Delhi. She has a MA in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai and a BA in History from the University of Delhi. Her interests include environmental politics at various scales, environment and development interlinkages and international relations.
She is currently based in Paris.
