Dr. Miguel Buñuel is Professor of Applied Economics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and President of EnvEco Consulting, which is also based in Madrid. He has more than 25 years of researching and consulting experience on energy and environmental economics and policy, public economics, taxation, applied microeconomics, applied econometrics, and modeling. Among other positions, he served as Economic Advisor to Spain’s Minister for the Environment, and worked for the World Bank and the European Commission. He has studied, taught and done research at top universities in the USA (Boston, Harvard, Tufts, and Yale) and Spain (UAM, UCM, UNED, and Stanford in Madrid), and is the author of many articles and books. He holds a Bachelors, Masters and PhD in Economics, JD in Law, and a PhD in Energy and Environmental Studies.
