Muhammed Omotola

Muhammed Omotola leads UNEP’s work on Waste Lead Acid Batteries in the Pollution and Health Unit in Nairobi, Kenya. He has more than 20 years of experience in International Chemicals and Waste Management, program management and development, and in the negotiations of various chemicals and waste multilateral environmental agreements. Prior to the United Nations, he worked for a German multinational construction company in Nigeria. Mohammed holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from UNAD, Nigeria, and a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.
