Dr. Mustafa Moinuddin is a senior policy researcher and research manager in the Strategic and Quantitative Analysis Centre of the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) in Japan. With more than ten years of work experience in the field of international development, he has been involved in several research activities at IGES relating to sustainable development and transition to green economy, green jobs and labour market assessment, infrastructure and sustainability, capacity building for low carbon development, trade and environment, and Japan’s long-term energy scenarios. Other research areas of his interest include energy trade and market integration, regional cooperation and integration, and international trade. Dr. Moinuddin holds a Ph.D. in International Development Studies from Yokohama National University (Japan), and received the Master of International Law and Economics degree from the World Trade Institute, University of Bern (Switzerland). Previously he held research positions at the ADB Institute and the WIPO Japan Office, and has taught economics at several universities in Japan.
