Prayank Jain is an international lawyer and non-profit sector professional. He works at the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) in New Delhi as Special Assistant to the CEO. In his current role, he manages international collaborations and stakeholder relationships, supports the Council's government and industry relations in India, and contributes to research initiatives in public policy, geo-engineering governance, net-zero targets, and youth advocacy.
Prayank's expertise includes climate governance, environmental justice, migration and human security. He specialises in international negotiations and processes, non-profit strategy, and higher education. He holds a Master of International Law (LL.M.) from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in the United States.
Prayank has been a consultant for non-profit organisations in US and India, including the Fletcher School, Namati, UNITAR, Congress of Nations and States, Green Pro Bono, and Jan Sahas. Prior to this, he was with the International Advocacy team at the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI) in Delhi, and has been an adjunct faculty and trainer for Lloyd Law College.
Prayank completed his undergraduate legal studies from Symbiosis International University in India, and a diploma in Comparative European Law from ISIL, New Delhi. He has represented India at international moot court competitions and has won Best Memorial awards at the world rounds of the Nelson Mandela Human Rights Moot in Geneva and the Stetson International Environmental Moot in Florida. Prayank takes an active interest in citizen engagement and youth mentorship.
