Raouf Dabbas has been actively involved with environmental NGOs since 1994. He is an environmental lobbyist and activist. Between 2003- 2007 he was the Prime-Ministry Advisor following up environmental issues and representing Jordan at High-Level environmental meetings and the Senior Ministry Advisor at the Environment from 2007-2017. Currently he focuses on building the Ministry’s institutional capacities, promoting the development of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, assisting in the development of Cleaner Production Legislation, The Green Economy Strategy and provides necessary advice and support for the Eco-Cities Forum initiative. He is a member of the Green Growth Knowledge Platform Advisory Committee, board member of several environmental and cultural NGO , member of the Federation of Jordanian Environmental NGOs and Jordan Green Building Counsel and Vice President of the Friends of Environment NGO in Jordan working with youth and rural communities building environmental awareness and developing Green Business. Mr. Dabbas holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas State , USA.
