Santiago is the Project Coordinator of the FARM Project in Ecuador, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Santiago has over a decade of experience in sustainable agriculture, environmental management, and the implementation of development projects in rural and institutional contexts. His work focuses on promoting sustainable agroproductive systems, strengthening public policies, and supporting farmers and Indigenous communities through capacity development, institutional coordination, and the integration of environmental and social considerations. Prior to FARM, he worked with UNDP’s PROAmazonía Programme, where he coordinated a multidisciplinary technical team supporting the implementation of large-scale sustainable production initiatives.
Santiago holds a degree in Agricultural Science and Production Engineering from Zamorano University and a Master’s degree in International Cooperation for Development.
