Seynabou Diouf is an Economist and Environmentalist who graduated from the Institute of Environmental Sciences at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, where she has been teaching environmental and natural resource economics, sustainable development, and the inclusive green economy since 2005.
She joined the ILO team in October 2021, as National Coordinator of the project "the social dimension of the ecological transition" in Senegal. Previously, she coordinated the Partnership for Action on Green Economy programme for Senegal since September 2019.
Between 2015 and 2018, she coordinated an advocacy group on the "role of local authorities in the face of climate challenges", set up within the framework of the partnership between the Association des Internationale des Maires Francophones (AIMF) and the European Union covering Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon and Burkina Faso.
She has recently been promoted to the position of Green Jobs Specialist at the ILO Regional Office for Africa.
