Sofia Ahlroth
        Senior Environmental Economist
Sofia Ahlroth is a Senior Environmental Economist at the World Bank. She has a PhD in Natural Resource Economics and Environmental Strategy Analysis from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. Her work has focused on environmental-economic policy analysis, natural capital accounting, valuation of environmental impacts and ecosystem services, and linkages to income distribution and poverty. Sofia is co-leading the Wealth Accounting and the Valuation of Ecosystem Services (WAVES) Global Partnership as well as the PROFOR program on Understanding forests’ contributions to poverty alleviation. She has worked with WAVES in Indonesia, Philippines, Zambia, and Rwanda, and is the WAVES focal point for Africa.
