Stefanos Fotiou is an accomplished and well renowned sustainable development professional with a wealth of experience in the definition, negotiation, and implementation leadership of international UN policy initiatives and programmes. Currently serves as Head of the "Cities and Lifestyles" Unit at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). He is responsible for the global portfolio of UNEP on Sustainable Cities, Green Buildings, Responsible Consumption, Sustainable Lifestyles, etc. through a programme that provides policy and technical support in several countries worldwide. Throughout his professional career, which began in research and has included lecturing assignments at some of Greece’s most important universities, leading positions in the private sector as well as posts in non-governmental institutions, Stefanos has taken leading roles in international forums and his works have been widely published.
