Thomas works as GGGI Adviser on Poverty Reduction and Social Inclusion as part of green growth. He has long-term experience within the area of development planning and management, including positions with UNDP in Honduras and with Danida in Nicaragua, Guatemala and Bolivia. He has also worked as a consultant primarily in Latin America and West Africa. His experience is within the area of natural resources management, environmental policy and climate change, including issues related to poverty reduction, decentralization, civil society development, indigenous peoples’ rights and land tenure issues. In GGGI, his responsibility is to increase GGGI’s focus on poverty reduction and social inclusion, both at strategic level and in programming at country level where implementation of concrete initiatives take place.
