With more than 30 years of experience in the field of environment and sustainable development, Mr. Tu has successively engaged in the fields of environmental impact assessment, cleaner production, climate change, river basin water management, pollution prevention and biodiversity protection, environmental impact assessment for infrastructure development, and has rich experience in bilateral, regional and multilateral international cooperation. Prior to the current position, he served as the Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China. He also worked in the Economics Department of the Paris Office of the UNEP 1997-1998. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in physics and a Master’s degree in engineering.
